About Me
My name is Aashna Shah, and I’m a 15-year-old sophomore in high school. I started Varnika’s Voices because I wanted to create something that truly meant something, not just to me, but to the world.
Varnika’s Voices is a nonprofit organization that uses fashion as a way to amplify the voices of South Asian brands that support marginalized communities, especially Dalit women. Through this platform, we raise awareness, showcase their work, and donate profits to support these incredible artisans and entrepreneurs.
Even at 15, I knew I wanted to make a difference. Fashion has always been my passion, but I didn’t want it to stop at style or trends. I wanted it to have an impact. Varnika’s Voices is my way of combining what I love with what matters - helping others, promoting equality, and supporting communities that are often overlooked.
This nonprofit is still growing, but every step we take matters. I hope Varnika’s Voices inspires other young people to realize that you don’t have to wait to make change. Passion, creativity, and determination are enough to start something meaningful-even at a young age.
